Wild Card Wednesday - pet peeve deposit

Is something eating you? Do you need a place to release it? Well, here you go my friends. Today I offer to be your negativity bank. Deposit your pet peeve here. But promise me you'll really let go of it ... otherwise, I don't want to hear you whine. ;)

I'll begin. And because I am the hostess, I get to deposit more than one. Lol.

First of all allergies - which I can't really let go of - there is always something in season in the armpit of the world. But, I accept that there is nothing I can do about it. Still, it does not help my son who is trying to recuperate from surgery. Nor does it help me, who has entered the gloriously congested third trimester. But, I release my frustration. Ka-ching!

Second - false anonymity. Example - drivers. What is it that changes the minute people get behind the wheel? What goes off in their head? Little old ladies are suddenly shaking their fists at people and then you find your neighbor, who never misses a wave, riding your tail and obviously screaming something very loudly at you. Yes, for some, the car becomes some sort of disguise, like a cloak of invisibilty, and you become their target for pent up anger. I'm no exception. I vow to my children today that mommy is going to try very hard not to call other drivers big dumb jerks anymore. :)

Ka-ching!

Your turn!

PS - I may be scarce the rest of the week. I've got family in town for my daughter's 7th birthday. But when I return there will lots of pictures for your viewing pleasure! And maybe something poingnant, too! Lol... it will be worth your patience.

Oh YAY!!! Hmmmm how do I choose...there are so many!

Ok, I need to get over that fact that some people NEVER out grow high school. Some people are immature well into their 40s and even further. They can still live and feed off of rumors, are even bratty and think they are right even when you PROVE they are wrong, and they still believe that some day they are going to be famouse (or some goofy thing like that). I really have to stop getting so heated over people like this...and I do so because I hated people like this in high school, so adults like this just send me into a fury! Whew! That felt good! Thanks woman!!! Ka-Ching!

Just one! That's like eating just one chocolate, or one cookie, or...

OK, how about the fact that infant fever medicine bottles are so small they hold like, 4 doses. Everyone's been sick this spring. The cutlery basket in my dishwasher is full of medicine syringes and cups, and I seem to be constantly trying to pry open yet another one of those mini medicine bottles! Thanks for the vent! Now where are those cookies...

My pet peeve is allergies as well. Mine more so than my kids. I hate feeling miserable all the time. Feeling like I'm always saying "sorry, mommy has a headach" or "sorry, if I stay outside much longer I'll sneeze my head off"

I did a post on this a while back and it's fun to hear what bugs people. Mine is reader boards with misspelled words, especially on school reader boards.

Thanks for coming by my blog last week.

Well, you can read one of my pet peeves by reading my blog entry today! LOL

Another one of mine is also drivers.

My step-son's biological mother. She's about 50 pet peeves rolled into one.

KA-CHING! :-)

Thank you. I need a place to drop this one off.
How about parents who have no idea what their kids are doing, or where they are at. Yesterday when it was nice out, I left my back door open and my neighbors not-even-two-year-old walked in. NOT EVEN TWO!!! No parents around. Just her. So scary. I can get over it now that I have put it out there in the universe. Phew.

1. I'll ditto Steph's about the kids who aren't supervised. Had a neighbor across the street from us with 5 of them. 3 hours after her kids would be over, she would call to see if they were there because she couldn't find them! WTHeck!?

2. People who say "whilst" instead of "while". Maybe it's a Utah thing?

3. People who talk on their cell phone and drive. I don't mind the occassional few minutes on the phone. But when it is like something that happened to me....a guy just about rear ended me on an off ramp ( had to use the gore point to avoid hitting me ), then after turning on the main road, I proceed to follow him since he was heading my direction. TEN MILES LATER....he was STILL on his cell phone!!! I would think that after almost getting himself killed that he would have some sense enough to say, "I gotta go. Call you later."

My pet peeve is all of the forward emails people send me. Especailly the ones that say, if you are my real friend you will send this back. Or if you love Jesus you will send this to 10 people in 10 minutes. I like the occasional joke, or funny picture. But the chain letter you have to send this or you will have bad luck for the rest of your life is just lame!

I agree with Jane! So that one is gone -

Another? The double standard. Why is it ok for men to carry an extra 20+ pounds? Women who are carrying an extra FIVE pounds get the "chubby" look from on lookers. In whispered tones we hear them say, "Well, SHE'S put on some weight!" Or "She just doesn't look as thin as she used to", etc. SO not fair!
