Eee gads, more hair choppage

Only I did it to my own head this time! I vaguely remember Daring Young Mom posting about an experience with a mullet. I'm not sure if that was self imposed or not. But yeah, I did this to myself. On purpose. And no, I will not show pictures... of ME. I WILL show you the look I was going for... on the fabulous Ms. Charlize Theron, however.

They are called pixie bangs and I think they're super cute. Just not on me. Perhaps a professional could have achieved the look I was going for. Hmmm, why didn't I think of that before? Oh yes. That is because I am an impulsive hormonal bundle of nerves. :) All my handi-craft-working skills have failed me with this latest project! My confidence is shot; I do believe I have found the limitations of what I can and cannot do.

It will be approximately 3 weeks before my bangs are the length they should be. Oh, nightmarish visions of that 7th grade self trim gone awry. You know, it's okay that we do it to our daughter's hair. We even take pictures! (Oh no - pictures! I completely forgot - our birth annoucement is going to be a video montage. This is much worse than I thought. And now I am crying. Great.)

And here I am FINALLY off bedrest and afraid to leave my home for fear of pointing and laughing, or worse, whispering and stifled snorting!!!

Of course, once I have this beautiful baby in my arms it won't matter, right? I mean, she WILL be the perfect distraction from what isn't growing on top of my head. Right?

RIGHT?!?!

I need prayers for speedy hair growth. *SOB*

Yikes! Hey, make sure you're taking your prenatals. Those things made my hair grow like weeds! And I'm sure you're still more beautiful than ever

come on show us, I'm sure you still look so beautiful!

BTW, I'm glad the bed rest is over at least, and yes that sweet baby will be plenty of distraction!!

Well at least you can be happy to wash and let it go for a few weeks. But I will sit here and cry with you. My hair needs help big time.
The next bit of comfort, Hair does grow back! Some day. :)

So sorry. I have thus far resisted the thrid trimester desire to cut it all off. I am sure it is not as bad as you think! :)

Congratulations on finishing up a successful dose of bedrest!

Those darn preggo hormones! They make us eat too much chocolate and Big Macs and then they talk us into chopping off our hair.

Hoping they grow back fast.

Okay, I am sure that it looks good on you. I have NEVER seen you with a hair cut that looks bad. What does Andrew think? Maybe it was just shocking to see the change but it sounds really cute.

Zoe - except the one you gave me in college, right?

My dad always said that there is only a week between a bad haircut and a good one. I hope it grows quickly!! but seriously...we need pics ;)

Come on, it's just us...all the ones that love you. You can show us the picture!

How do you feel about headbands? ;)

It's OK - hair grows fast. In 2 weeks, no one will know. In the meantime, try a bandana. My favorite red and navy bandanas have covered a multiple of hair sins.

I have cut my own hair more times than I care to admit. Sometimes it works and sometimes not (since we're not professionals). Everything will be OK soon. Just eat some chocolate.

I still think it is HIGHLY unfair of you not to post a picture...how selfish can you get Missy!
:P

I've given myself many an impulse haircut, and I don't have pregnancy hormones as an excuse. Hair scarves are your friend.

I vaugely remember something about the mullet too... You are so brave to try it yourself. I'm sure it doesn't look as bad as you think and there are some very stylish hats out there nowadays. Good luck. I would like to see a picture though but after the mullet thing, I understand your desire not to.

Ummm. Scarves? Headband? Shaving it all off? I hear bandanas are in.

And where's that picture!? It can't be THAT bad. lol ;)

We've all had our horrific hair nightmares!! It'll grow fast. And people won't laugh because they'll see you are hugely pregnant and a hormonal mess! :-) Don't worry!! I'm sure you look just like Ms. Theron!
