It's lovely weather...

... for a whole lotta compromise! It rarely gets this cold in Texas. Today's high was 30. Schools are closed. Roads are closed. TxDOT had run out of sand sometime yesterday and the worst of the weather came today. In our battle with cabin fever, many allowances have been made around here. Breakfast in the living room. Making up funny songs about our booties. Spending all day in our jammies. More than a fair share of candy from the stockings. Forts under the "nice furniture".

Now, so that I might not abandon all the rules in order to save my sanity, can we have our warm weather back? Puh-lease???

We've had the cold temps, but no snow or ice. You'd think that if it was going to be below 30 in the day and single digits in the night, we could at least have something in the form of snow. Even the sun (which continues to shine brightly) does NOT provide any warmth.

I want warmer days, too!!

That is cold for TX! What is going on around here?! We've had a stream of ICE in our driveway for almost a week now. I'm in freakin Southern California! Also...SNOW in Malibu today! I don't pay a #@**^*# amount of money to live in crappy weather, dangit!

you reserve all that for only "special occasions"?? Its been so cold here, that I can't even persuade K to go outside for any length of time. Even to ride his new bike. Crazy times :p

That IS cold for Texas. (But I have little sympathy up here in Illinois). Yes. Allowances must be made. We are allowing many more video games than usual. It really stinks double, cuz we finally have some snow (maybe an inch) and they don't want to play in it cuz it's so frigid out!)

Crazy how cold it has been all over the country. I'm glad you have had some fun while stuck in the house.

Its cold here too, although we've just learned to accept it here.

Hope things warm up soon for you.

We have another snow storm headed this way for the weekend and I am not very happy about that. This is the 5th weekend in a row!

For both of us, I hope the temps go up!

Cold in Texas; not so cold in GA. We had one warm day last week where I was in short sleeves and the next the temp was 36. Too much of a variation for me. I might move to TExas with you!!

I hear ya. I'm so sick of cold and sub-zero temps I could pull my hair out!!

I've made a LOOOOT of allowances due to the lack of school because of weather. No other choice if I wanna save my sanity.

btw...I just realized you dropped out of my bloglines....I'm not sure how that happened, but I'm sorry I haven' been by to visit in awhile. :-(
