3 days ago I would have said that I'd do anything to have my healthy little girl back. She's got a viral bug and her fever has been up around 102-103 since Saturday. I hate looking into those sad, sunken little eyes and feeling like there's nothing I can do.
Today, although still a tad feverish, she's getting her mojo back. Oh yes. I discovered that she'd painted my ottoman with nacho cheese this morning and thought... now why didn't I appreciate the quietude yesterday?
Thank goodness for blogging because I don't think I could say that out loud and not be committed. Lol.

so did you take pictures to show off her new talent? Sorry she's been sick and sorry she got her mojo back ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm still glad she's feeling better ; )
ReplyDeleteOh yes. That is very true. I am glad she's feeling better...so tough to see them sick. But, I guess it makes cleaning the house more simple. :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhh no, nacho cheese. Just say no to mojo. :-)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish my kids would get a mystery illness that caused them to loose their voices for just a day or two.
ReplyDeletei understand you completly. sometimes i can tell when my kids are getting sick, because they will actually sleep. it's like the calm before the storm. and i like it.
ReplyDeleteYeah for feeling better. Boo for cleaning :(
ReplyDeleteI used to feel bad that I was glad when my daughter was sick because things were so calm around the house.
ReplyDeleteha ha sorry about the ottoman life is all about perspective:) it will be a good story later
ReplyDeleteI have a friend whose kid used a whole jar of peanut butter on the brand new sofa. Gotta love kids! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! :)
ReplyDeleteJust what I was thinking with N as we had a moment between ourselves and him declaring I'm almost an adult. (he's 10 now.) Sick kids are never fun, and I'm hoping after a week home, I get to go back to work tomorrow- LOL!!
i will admit that an occasional fever, with all of the accompanying listlessness and no undesirable vomiting, can be a nice break from the usual shenanigans. :)
