Drewby and I dusted side by side to some rousing tunes this morning. As we worked, I realized how many great and profound one liners there are! So, I thought it would be fun to rattle off a few that came to my mind:
"Time to eat all your words, swallow your pride, open your eyes."
"You've got to get yourself together, you've got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it."
"When you lose something you can't replace. When you love someone but it goes to waste, could it be worse?"
"When the world is running down you make the best of what's still around."
"I should be crying but I just can't let it show. I should be hoping but I can't stop thinking."
"Don’t let your life pass you by. Weep not for the memories."
See if you can name these tunes, and maybe even come up with a few of your own!
1. Tears for Fears (Sowing the Seeds of Love)
ReplyDelete2. U2, baby!

ReplyDeleteGreat job sheri.
Those were great quotes.
"She was lookin' kinda dumb, with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead..."
ReplyDeleteGood advise, don't ya think? It does look pretty dumb when people do that :)
I love your lyrical kernels of wisdom, by the way!
Wow, I'm impressed with Sheri. I can't read the words and here the music so I didn't have a CLUE.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteLMBO Jessica!
ReplyDeleteDid Jane Wiedlin (Weidlin?) sing This Woman's World? My sister had that tape or record in the 80s. When the song is played in the movie "She's Having a Baby" I bawl my eyes out and I'm emotional for hours.
